The team didn’t disclose the exact term — standard for coaching deals — but TSN’s Pierre LeBrun reports the deal is believed to be three years on top of St-Louis’s existing contract, which would keep him behind the Canadiens’ bench through the 2029-30 season. “Marty has done a terrific job leading our young team,” Hughes said. “He is a great communicator and teacher. We look forward to his continued efforts to mold this group into a championship-caliber team.”
