Impact with the Canadiens

Gorman took over as Canadiens general manager in 1940 and rebuilt a struggling club into a champion, winning the Stanley Cup in 1944 and again in 1946. A restless hockey lifer who also built winners in Ottawa, New York and Chicago, he was equally known in Montreal for booking marquee entertainment acts, including Duke Ellington and Frank Sinatra, into the Forum.
